摘 要
儿童是生命之窗，一个人未来的性格、个性、兴趣、生活习惯、价值观念、心理健康程度等等很大一部分是由儿童时期来决定的。中国的传统文化需要继承和发展，儿童需要培养其自尊心与民族自豪感，领会中国传统文化存在于现代儿童家具设计中的意义。现今中国的现代家具设计,特别是儿童家具设计,缺乏拥有中国特色的家具设计的探索。根据市场考察分析，发现多数现代儿童桌椅在造型和色彩搭配上过于呆板，和成人使用的家具相似程度很高。
本文通过在造型、色彩、结构、材料等方面进行中国元素在现代儿童桌椅设计中的应用分析，总结归纳出设计方法，将中国传统文化与中国元素融入儿童家具设计，形成现代儿童家具中具有特色的设计风格和理念。探寻现代儿童家具背后中国传统文化与元素给予其更深层次的意义，培养儿童对于中国传统工艺文化的兴趣，对于中式家具鉴赏的能力。思考其设计意义，设计满足现代儿童家居空间的整体风格需求，向儿童家具市场扩大发展。

Abstract
