Adsorption of heavy metals by plant residues
in lake water
ABSTRACT
Cu2 is a kind of typical heavy metal pollutants. With the rapid development of urbanization and industrialization in China, a large amount of copper containing wastewater is produced in metallurgy, petrochemical and other industries, which not only does great harm to water, but also accumulates through the food chain, seriously endangering environmental safety and human health. It has great potential to remove Cu2 and other heavy metal pollutants in water by using the adsorption of aquatic plants. Looking for the best adsorption conditions and exploring the influencing factors of heavy metal adsorption has become a research hotspot. At present, more attention is paid to the degradation of heavy metals under microbial conditions, while less attention is paid to the research under ultraviolet light, more attention is paid to the adsorption capacity of aquatic plants for heavy metals, and less attention is paid to the adsorption performance of plant residues for heavy metals. Therefore, on the basis of the research progress of heavy metal adsorption by aquatic plants, Potamogeton malayi was selected as the representative of aquatic plant residues, and three degradation conditions of single UV, single microorganism and UV microorganism were selected. By comparing the indicators of plant residues before and after adsorption, the adsorption performance of Cu2 under the three degradation conditions was studied, which provided theoretical basis for water and lake remediation.
