1. 研究目的与意义
The study of Chinese American literature began with American literary criticism in the 1960s. It began in the 1960s with the participation of Chinese Americans in several Chinese/Asian literary studies of the civil rights movement for equality, and flourished until the 1980s with the development of various critics on Chinese American literature. Due to geographical and socio-cultural differences as well as the lag in the publication of literary works, the research in this field started relatively late in China. Although the study of Chinese American literature in China has made great progress and drawn more attention after decades of development, there are still deviations and deficiencies. It is easy to overlook the study of new works that are more likely to reflect the latest realities and attractions of Chinese-American life. Accordingly, the 2014 best-selling book Everything I Never Tell You provides a new perspective on the topic of Chinese-American families. Hence, this article will research the causes of the tragedy of interracial marriages by studying the family relationship in this book. Besides, there are always irreconcilable contradictions and conflicts between all ethnic groups. Although interracial marriage is supported by the law, for interracial families, pressure from all quarters has caused many negative effects on their lives. Therefore, this article will analyze the problems of inter-racial marriages to help those who are preparing for inter-racial marriages to predict the problems in advance, so as to better solve the problems. This is of great significance to the development of human society.

3. 国内外研究现状
Everything I Never Told You is the Celeste Ng''''''''''''''''s first novel completed in 6 years. The novel''''''''''''''''s debut attracted widespread attention from Chinese and foreign media, and won numerous awards including the 2014 Amazon Book of the Year. Since the novel was published, many critics and scholars at home and abroad have analyzed and studied the novel from different angles. 1. Research AbroadOnce published, Celeste Ng’s debut Everything I Never Told You has aroused great public attention and interest. It is also well recognized by critics.Clea Simon (2014) regarded this novel wonderfully moving, and added that she moves seamlessly into the weeks beyond, excelling in her sensitive and detailed portraits of grief - the fatigue and disorientation, shock and anger... Mark Lawson (2014) wrote down the following comment: Ng brilliantly depicts the destruction that parents can inflict on their children and on each other... Ng is most impressive in the less generic novelistic skill of the piercing detail- a single stray novelty sock on the floor of a teenager’s room...Chris Schluep (2014) commented as follows:There is not a false note in this book, and my only concern in describing my profound admiration for Everything I Never Told You is that it might raise unachievable expectations in the reader...From the above, it can be easily concluded that Ng’s debut work Everything I Never Told You is welcomed and recognized by readers, experts and critics. Although it is popular among the public, there is not much academic research on this work abroad. We can only find a few academic papers in it.2. Research at HomeOn the contrary, there are many academic researches on this work at home. Most of these studies have focused on the exploration of themes such as the identity problem, the other, racial discrimination and education.Chen Yanqiong (2015) contended that characters with labels represent the status of marginalized families and marginalized culture in a sympathetic way.Zhu Xiaolan (2015) focused on the study of comparing Ng''''''''''''''''s Depiction of the characteristic of Hannah Lee to other marginal characters.Liu Changxin (2015) analyzed that the work was consciously created with a full-scope aesthetic...mixing race, gender, family, individual pursuit of self-worth, youth crisis, love and many other topics'.Zhang Ce (2016) believed that although each character in the novel has a different story, they actually solve the same problem: how to integrate American-born Chinese into mainstream culture.Zeng Lihua (2020) studied the complexity and difficulty of cross-ethnic family education under the pressure of American social environment. However, few scholars analyze the causes of tragedy from the perspective of interracial marriage. That’s why the paper studies the Interracial Marriage Conflicts in the book.
