research purpose:

most of the works on thetheme of youth achieve the goal of education by expressing the youth's growth. withthe american cultural background, the novel flipped shows readers amoving story of the characters’ growing up from the narration of doubleperspectives. this kind of self-awareness and growth is a memory and feelingthat can be resonated in the deep heart of every adult. so how does this kindof novel attract readers? how does it express the educational significance ofthe novel and the self-awareness of the characters, so as to promote readers'empathy? the purpose of this study is to analyze julie's introspection andgrowth, as well as the reality and dream, sincerity and hypocrisy in her way ofgrowing up.
