research purpose:

teenagers are the new force of a country, and the growth level of teenagers will also affect the development level of a country. the growth of teenagers not only includes the study of knowledge, but also includes interpersonal communication, volitional quality and many other aspects. therefore, in addition to learning knowledge in school, the home education of teenagers also demands our attention. in most cases, the difference in the concept of family education is mainly caused by the different growing environment of parents. there has always been a big difference between chinese parents and western parents. differences can be reflected not only in daily life, but also through film and television works. as the saying goes, art derives from life. parents in chinese and western movies and tv programs treat their children in the same way as local parents in real life. this paper aims to find out the differences between chinese and western family education by analyzing two tv series little joy and young sheldon，depicting different education modes in china and the west, and analyze the reasons for these differences from many aspects.
